The course is designed to impart knowledge of the concepts and principles of Economics, which
govern the functioning of a firm/organization under different market conditions. It further aims
at enhancing the understanding capabilities of students about macro–economic principles and
decision making by business and government.
Course Objectives:
- To equip the students of management with time tested tools and techniques of managerial economics to enable them to appreciate its relevance in decision making.
- To gain knowledge of all economic terms and concepts;
- To explore the economics of information and network industries and to equip students with an understanding of how economics affect the business strategy of companies in these industries; and
- To develop economic way of thinking in dealing with practical business problems and
challenges.
